Seeking a Charge Nurse for the 9:45p.m. to 6: 15a.m. shift.
Full or part-time hours available, shift differential, insurance and sick leave benefit after 90 days employment, vacation hours accrued yearly.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
     Attendance of shift reports.
     Supervision and direction of staff.
     Physical and mental well-being of all residents.
     Contact administration, families, physicians, outside agencies as needed.
     Administer medications and treatments per physicians order .
     Manage any emergencies.
     Prepare paperwork for next day physician appointments, rounds, lab.
     Documentation including nurse's notes, assessment, vital signs, progress notes, physicians orders,
     Medicare A , follow-ups.
     Change out of monthly MAR/TARs and cycle fill medications.
     Understand and follow resident care plans/assure staff also know and follow.

Qualifications:
     Current KS LPN or RN licensure in good standing.
     Prefer 1 -2 years nursing experience.
     Prefer long term care experience but not required.
     Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
     Interest in working with the geriatric population and their families.
     Professional conduct and appearance.
     Possess qualities of leadership, judgment, self-direction, and dependability.
     Strong work ethic.
     Comfortable with supervision and management of staff conduct and job performance.
     Strong communication skills, physical assessment, management of illness/injury/emergencies.
     Ability to work congenially with others and under direction.
     Foster self-respect and self-esteem in residents and employees.
     Good follow through.
     Document pertinent information and observations daily, give thorough and accurate report to next charge nurse.
     Daily Medicare and MDS 7 -day look back assessment and documentation.
     Promote resident rights and choices.
