CAPITAL CAMPAIGN TEAM ORGANIZATION
 - THE NEW VALLEY CENTER LIBRARY -

The Valley Center Library and Community Resource Center capital campaign's mission is to provide funds for the resource center through a private/public partnership. The city has agreed to provide a prime location for the library building. Foundation grants are being sought to provide a significant amount of the necessary funds. The remaining capital for the resource center will be provided as gifts from Valley Center residents and library patrons. When the campaign is complete, funds will be available to build the comprehensive community resource center without increasing the tax burden on Valley Center residents. It will be a gift from Valley Center citizens of today to the citizens of tomorrow, a source of great pride for the Valley Center Community.
The campaign team will consist of representation from all areas of Valley Center life, i.e. government, schools. civic leaders, churches, businesses, youth. and children. To be successful the campaign team will actively involve hundreds of people planning the facility and participating in fund raising strategies.

COORDINATING TEAM: Anne Hainlen, Marsha Huebert, Ruth Martin

LEAD TEAM - will function like an executive committee or steering committee and serve as the communications hub, a "clearing house," enabling those heading up the campaign teams to learn what, is going on in other areas. During lead team meetings each member has an opportunity to review the activity of his or her team, and the campaign chair is able to discuss progress toward the campaign goal.
The lead team also guides the course of the campaign. Its members evaluate the campaign's progress and are brought up to date on solicitation of major gifts and other campaign activities.
